If you’re using the Artist Pro Edition of ArtistForce.com and you have listed a fee quote, or a fee range, take a few minutes today to log in and make sure that you are being realistic. It is important to double check your math, and make sure that you have a strong fact-based argument for the fee, which includes recent tour history and box office grosses to back you up.

If you have not recently been paid anything near what you’re quoting, fix your quote – and possibly your attitude. Promoters know better, and you’ll be perceived as a pain, before anyone has the opportunity to find out how cool you really are.

An example of a bad fee quote is an Artist who lists their fee as $1000 - $100,000. That doesn’t help anyone. Sure you may show up in more search results, but you’ll show up in results with people who are actually grossing $100k a night. Generally promoters that book $100k acts do not book $1000 acts - you’ll look out of place and unprofessional.

If you’re using the Artist Pro edition of ArtistForce.com, your account may be placed on hold for inappropriate fee listing. You can prevent any action by listing a fee quote range where the low fee is not 100% greater than the high fee. An example of an acceptable fee range is $25,000 - $50,000. You can list a flat fee instead of a range by just entering a ‘Low Fee’.
